The Turks and Caicos Islands, located southeast of the Bahamas, consists of two groups of islands in the West Indies, the larger Caicos and smaller Turks. The two island groups compose eight larger islands and more than 20 smaller islands. Most of the population lives in Providenciales on the Caicos islands.
